Auto Club: Best AAA-Approved Auto Repair Facilities
Receive 2007 Quality Service Awards
(LOS ANGELES, Jan. 16, 2008) — Thirty-two Southland vehicle repair
shops have earned the Automobile Club of Southern California's Approved
Auto Repair coveted Quality Service Award for customer satisfaction
and service quality.
The Quality Award honorees were selected from approximately 600-plus
Approved Auto Repair facilities, which are independent businesses
regularly inspected by the Auto Club. To receive an award, a repair
shop has to meet extremely stringent Auto Club standards for a consecutive
two-year period: no more than one complaint from an Auto Club member,
a minimum 99 percent customer satisfaction rating during two consecutive
surveys and no facility deficiencies during either of the Auto Club's
detailed annual shop inspections or the bimonthly shop reviews.
"Automobiles have become very technologically sophisticated
and challenging to repair and maintain," said the AAA-Approved
Auto Repair Operations Manager Michael Hoshaw. "These shops are
the crème de la crème and exceeded our program's strict
requirements. The recipients demonstrate that they possess advanced
skill and knowledge and understand how to provide top value and customer
service to motorists."
One-third of the Quality Award winners (11 in all) are located in
Orange County, seven shops are in the San Diego area. Glendora, Laguna
Hills and Van Nuys boast two Quality Service Award facilities each.
The others are spread across many Southern California communities,
including Long Beach, Ontario and Santa Monica.
Several facilities have received Quality Service Awards for numerous
years. Good Guys Automotive in Yorba Linda, Seaside Buick in San Diego
and Horsman Automotive in Santee are six -time recipients. For a free
