Guide to getting the most fuel efficiency out of your vehicle

  • Maintain your vehicle - proper servicing of your vehicle will help your vehicle perform up to its designed efficiency.

  • Check and maintain proper tire pressure.
Have your wheel alignment checked and adjusted properly. Rolling resistance created by improper inflation and wheel alignment angles can put a heavy burden on on fuel efficiency.

  • Watch your freeway speeds. The aerodynamic drag increases exponentially as your speed increases above 65MPH. If your vehicle has an instant fuel economy feature, spend some time monitoring it. You can learn allot about your vehicle's fuel efficiency this way.

  • When leaving a stop, don't punch it and don't drive aggressively! (unless you own a Corvette, but we need to save that for the track!)

  • Watch the traffic ahead so that you know when to lift and coast, this can save allot.

  • Ask us for additional recommendations, like, what kind of fuel to run (regular or Premium)? Some vehicle calibrations will allow for more spark advance (more torque) = (better efficiency) with higher octane fuels.

Now is the price of Gasoline & Diesel really that expensive?

    How much is a gallon of fuel today? 6-3-2008 = $4 +

How much is a gallon of Snapple? 6-3-2008 shopping on the web I found it anywhere between $7.49 - $14.25

Gas is still cheaper than the Pomegranate Green Tea found @ Trader Joe's (on sale $2.99 for 64 ounces) which equals about $6 gallon!
